Oobabooga's web UI loads models in half a dozen formats, exposes every sampler, and has extensions for voice, character cards, long-term memory and much else. If you want to compare quantisation formats or run something exotic, this is where you can.
The breadth is also the cost: the installer pulls a large dependency tree, and the first run involves choosing a loader you have not heard of.
Worth knowing before you start
- Large installation The dependency tree is substantial and occasionally fragile across updates.
- Choice of loader is not obvious Picking the wrong backend for your quantisation format is the classic first-run failure.
What it does
- Multiple model loaders
- Character chat mode
- Extensions
- LoRA training
- OpenAI-compatible API
